EMDR supports the brain in getting un-stuck, finally enabling it to process traumatic events and experiences, putting them in the past, so you can move on with your life. You don’t have to live with trauma now or take it with you into your future.
People Seek EMDR for:
Past trauma that impacts your life currently
Anxiety, panic, or emotional flooding
Feeling numb, disconnected, or on edge
Triggers that seem small but feel intense
Negative beliefs about yourself that will not shift
You Don’t have to Relive It to Heal It
EMDR offers a way to heal that respects both your story and your nervous system. You do not need to tell every detail of what happened for the therapy to be effective. In sessions with me, I will guide you in staying present and in control throughout the process. We move at a pace that feels manageable to you and your body.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a research backed trauma therapy that helps the brain and body process experiences that feel stuck. Trauma can keep the nervous system in survival mode long after the event or ongoing harmful circumstances have passed.
I am EMDR trained through an EMDR International Association approved organization. I use this method in combination with somatic and relational therapy to create a well rounded experience that is deeply healing to the mind, body, and spirit.
